Summer Break Program 7/1 – 7/3

SUMMER BREAK PROGRAM 2019 – Final Deadline to Register – July 3, 2019

We are running this program on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – July 1st, 2nd and 3rd

3 Days:  July 1st – 5th (July 4th Holiday)

Program Information

If you are looking for a way for your child to learn or improve their Taekwondo, focus on respect, self control and perseverance, become more flexible, have more stamina and become stronger, look no further. We are offering a SUMMER BREAK program which will give them all of that. This program is open only to Jae H. Kim Taekwondo Students, siblings or friends. Students need to pack a bag lunch if staying for the Full Day. You can also order food from Sam-Way which is located in our plaza.  You will need to pay for your orders by check made out to Shim Kim or cash, at the end of the week.

Sample Schedule of Activities:  Activities will vary each day. We alternate between and active and quiet activities.

  • Dodgeball – Mat Jumping – Kicking Towers – Kick and Punching Beach Balls
  • Grappling – Light Sparring Drills – Forms – One Steps
  • Big Jump rope – Individual Jump ropes – Hula Hoops
  • Catch a Stick – Obstacle Course – Hanging from rings or pole
  • Origami – Pictionary – Charades – Seven Up – Museum
  • Board Games – Card Games – Chinese Checkers – Twister
  • Korean Jacks – Korean Yut – Mancala – Solitaire

REGISTRATION: Morning or Afternoon or Both

Full payment due in order to register.  

Drop off is 8:30-9:00 or 12:00-12:30, and pick up is 12:00-12:30 or 3:45-4:00.

Full 3 Day Program :    All Day 8:30 to 4:00 – $148.50

Full 3 Half Day Program: Morning 8:30 to 12:30  or  Afternoon 12:00 to  4:00 – $82.50   

Full Day Rate: All Day 8:30 to 4:00 – $55

Half Day Rate: Morning 8:30 to 12:30 or  Afternoon 12:00 to 4:00 – $30  

STAFFING:

Primary Instructor will be Ms. Shim:

Education – Wellesley College B.A. Psychology, Brown University M.A. Sociology

Experience – In addition to teaching Taekwondo classes, she created and taught preschool programs for 5 years, homeschooled 2 children for 9 years during which she taught middle school and High school level classes, taught after school arts and crafts programs for 3 years at an elementary school, and high school classes for 1 year in Seoul, Korea.

Teen Leaders will be assisting throughout the program.  We aim to have a low student to Instructor ratio, so that each child can receive maximum attention.
